[ Upstream commit d5f34153e526903abe71869dbbc898bfc0f69373 ] The db->lock is a raw spinlock and so the lock hold time is supposed to be short. This will not be the case when printk() is being involved in some of the critical sections. In order to avoid the long hold time, in case some messages need to be printed, the debug_object_is_on_stack() and debug_print_object() calls are now moved out of those critical sections. Documentation/admin-guide/README.rst first.
In order to build the documentation, use ``make htmldocs`` or
``make pdfdocs``. The formatted documentation can also be read online at:
https://www.kernel.org/doc/html/latest/
There are various text files in the Documentation/ subdirectory,
several of them using the Restructured Text markup notation.
See Documentation/00-INDEX for a list of what is contained in each file.
Please read the Documentation/process/changes.rst file, as it contains the
requirements for building and running the kernel, and information about
the problems which may result by upgrading your kernel.
