[ Upstream commit ff672b9ffeb3f82135488ac16c5c5eb4b992999b ] Both ipvlan_process_v4_outbound() and ipvlan_process_v6_outbound() increment dev->stats.tx_errors in case of errors. Unfortunately there are two issues : 1) ipvlan_get_stats64() does not propagate dev->stats.tx_errors to user. 2) Increments are not atomic. KCSAN would complain eventually. Use DEV_STATS_INC() to not miss an update, and change ipvlan_get_stats64() to copy the value back to user. Fixes: 2ad7bf363841 ("ipvlan: Initial check-in of the IPVLAN driver.") Linux kernel ============ There are several guides for kernel developers and users. These guides can be rendered in a number of formats, like HTML and PDF. Please read Documentation/admin-guide/README.rst first. In order to build the documentation, use ``make htmldocs`` or ``make pdfdocs``. The formatted documentation can also be read online at: https://www.kernel.org/doc/html/latest/ There are various text files in the Documentation/ subdirectory, several of them using the Restructured Text markup notation. See Documentation/00-INDEX for a list of what is contained in each file. Please read the Documentation/process/changes.rst file, as it contains the requirements for building and running the kernel, and information about the problems which may result by upgrading your kernel.
