As config FRAMEBUFFER_CONSOLE already selects VT_HW_CONSOLE_BINDING, there is no need for any drm driver to repeat that rule for selecting. Remove those duplications of selecting VT_HW_CONSOLE_BINDING. Signed-off-by: Lukas Bulwahn <lukas.bulwahn@gmail.com> [sima: Note that this is only correct since a5ae331edb02 ("drm: Drop select FRAMEBUFFER_CONSOLE for DRM_FBDEV_EMULATION") because select in Kconfig isn't recursive and so needs to be replicated.] Signed-off-by: Daniel Vetter <daniel.vetter@ffwll.ch> Link: https://patchwork.freedesktop.org/patch/msgid/20240108121757.14069-1-lukas.bulwahn@gmail.com

Linux kernel ============ There are several guides for kernel developers and users. These guides can be rendered in a number of formats, like HTML and PDF. Please read Documentation/admin-guide/README.rst first. In order to build the documentation, use ``make htmldocs`` or ``make pdfdocs``. The formatted documentation can also be read online at: https://www.kernel.org/doc/html/latest/ There are various text files in the Documentation/ subdirectory, several of them using the Restructured Text markup notation. Please read the Documentation/process/changes.rst file, as it contains the requirements for building and running the kernel, and information about the problems which may result by upgrading your kernel.
