send_call_function_single_ipi() is the thing that sends IPIs at the bottom of smp_call_function*() via either generic_exec_single() or smp_call_function_many_cond(). Give it an IPI-related tracepoint. Note that this ends up tracing any IPI sent via __smp_call_single_queue(), which covers __ttwu_queue_wakelist() and irq_work_queue_on() "for free". Documentation/admin-guide/README.rst first.
In order to build the documentation, use ``make htmldocs`` or
``make pdfdocs``. The formatted documentation can also be read online at:
https://www.kernel.org/doc/html/latest/
There are various text files in the Documentation/ subdirectory,
several of them using the Restructured Text markup notation.
Please read the Documentation/process/changes.rst file, as it contains the
requirements for building and running the kernel, and information about
the problems which may result by upgrading your kernel.
