[ Upstream commit 4d18fcc95f50950a99bd940d4e61a983f91d267a ] Currently, pointers to guest memory are passed to Hyper-V as transaction IDs in netvsc. In the face of errors or malicious behavior in Hyper-V, netvsc should not expose or trust the transaction IDs returned by Hyper-V to be valid guest memory addresses. Instead, use small integers generated by vmbus_requestor as requests (transaction) IDs. Documentation/admin-guide/README.rst first.
In order to build the documentation, use ``make htmldocs`` or
``make pdfdocs``. The formatted documentation can also be read online at:
https://www.kernel.org/doc/html/latest/
There are various text files in the Documentation/ subdirectory,
several of them using the Restructured Text markup notation.
Please read the Documentation/process/changes.rst file, as it contains the
requirements for building and running the kernel, and information about
the problems which may result by upgrading your kernel.
