[ Upstream commit d59cf049c8378677053703e724808836f180888e ] This switch intellectual property provides a bit on the ARL global control register which controls allowing mirroring frames which are received on the local port (monitor port). This bit is unset after reset. This ability must be enabled to fully support the port mirroring feature on this switch intellectual property. Therefore, this patch fixes the traffic not being reflected on a port, which would be configured like below: tc qdisc add dev swp0 clsact tc filter add dev swp0 ingress matchall skip_sw \ action mirred egress mirror dev swp0 As a side note, this configuration provides the hairpinning feature for a single port. Linux kernel ============ There are several guides for kernel developers and users. These guides can be rendered in a number of formats, like HTML and PDF. Please read Documentation/admin-guide/README.rst first. In order to build the documentation, use ``make htmldocs`` or ``make pdfdocs``. The formatted documentation can also be read online at: https://www.kernel.org/doc/html/latest/ There are various text files in the Documentation/ subdirectory, several of them using the Restructured Text markup notation. Please read the Documentation/process/changes.rst file, as it contains the requirements for building and running the kernel, and information about the problems which may result by upgrading your kernel.
