The VC handling has gotten quite tangled up. As the first step to clean it up, lets define that we only support a single DSI peripheral (which was really already the case), and we always use VC0 (define VC_DEFAULT 0) register block to send data to the peripheral. We can thus have a single mipi_dsi_device pointer and remove the for-loops which made passes over all the four VCs (just the first one was ever used). Documentation/admin-guide/README.rst first.
In order to build the documentation, use ``make htmldocs`` or
``make pdfdocs``. The formatted documentation can also be read online at:
https://www.kernel.org/doc/html/latest/
There are various text files in the Documentation/ subdirectory,
several of them using the Restructured Text markup notation.
Please read the Documentation/process/changes.rst file, as it contains the
requirements for building and running the kernel, and information about
the problems which may result by upgrading your kernel.
