Mixed mode allows a kernel built for x86_64 to interact with 32-bit EFI firmware, but requires us to define all struct definitions carefully when it comes to pointer sizes. 'struct efi_pci_io_protocol_32' currently uses a 'void *' for the 'romimage' field, which will be interpreted as a 64-bit field on such kernels, potentially resulting in bogus memory references and subsequent crashes. These guides can be rendered in a number of formats, like HTML and PDF. In order to build the documentation, use ``make htmldocs`` or ``make pdfdocs``. There are various text files in the Documentation/ subdirectory, several of them using the Restructured Text markup notation. See Documentation/00-INDEX for a list of what is contained in each file. Please read the Documentation/process/changes.rst file, as it contains the requirements for building and running the kernel, and information about the problems which may result by upgrading your kernel.
