commit 8873c064d1de579ea23412a6d3eee972593f142b upstream. syzkaller was able to hit the WARN_ON(sock_owned_by_user(sk)); in tcp_close() While a socket is being closed, it is very possible other threads find it in rtnetlink dump. tcp_get_info() will acquire the socket lock for a short amount of time (slow = lock_sock_fast(sk)/unlock_sock_fast(sk, slow);), enough to trigger the warning. Fixes: 67db3e4bfbc9 ("tcp: no longer hold ehash lock while calling tcp_get_info()") Signed-off-by: Eric Dumazet <edumazet@google.com> Reported-by: syzbot <syzkaller@googlegroups.com> Signed-off-by: David S. Linux kernel ============ This file was moved to Documentation/admin-guide/README.rst Please notice that there are several guides for kernel developers and users. These guides can be rendered in a number of formats, like HTML and PDF. In order to build the documentation, use ``make htmldocs`` or ``make pdfdocs``. There are various text files in the Documentation/ subdirectory, several of them using the Restructured Text markup notation. See Documentation/00-INDEX for a list of what is contained in each file. Please read the Documentation/process/changes.rst file, as it contains the requirements for building and running the kernel, and information about the problems which may result by upgrading your kernel.
