[ Upstream commit e95fd518d05bfc087da6fcdea4900a57cfb083bd ] Super-IO accesses may fail on a system with no or unmapped LPC bus. Also, other drivers may attempt to access the LPC bus at the same time, resulting in undefined behavior. Use request_muxed_region() to ensure that IO access on the requested address space is supported, and to ensure that access by multiple drivers is synchronized. Linux kernel ============ This file was moved to Documentation/admin-guide/README.rst Please notice that there are several guides for kernel developers and users. These guides can be rendered in a number of formats, like HTML and PDF. In order to build the documentation, use ``make htmldocs`` or ``make pdfdocs``. There are various text files in the Documentation/ subdirectory, several of them using the Restructured Text markup notation. See Documentation/00-INDEX for a list of what is contained in each file. Please read the Documentation/process/changes.rst file, as it contains the requirements for building and running the kernel, and information about the problems which may result by upgrading your kernel.
