Based on the comment present in the bdev_get_queue() bdev->bd_queue can never be NULL. Remove the NULL check for the local variable q that is set from bdev_get_queue() for discard, write_same, and write_zeroes. There are various text files in the Documentation/ subdirectory,
several of them using the Restructured Text markup notation.
Please read the Documentation/process/changes.rst file, as it contains the
requirements for building and running the kernel, and information about
the problems which may result by upgrading your kernel.
