commit 1f68915b2efd0d6bfd6e124aa63c94b3c69f127c upstream. snd_pcm_reset() is a non-atomic operation, and it's allowed to run during the PCM stream running. It implies that the manipulation of hw_ptr and other parameters might be racy. This patch adds the PCM stream lock at appropriate places in snd_pcm_*_reset() actions for covering that. Documentation/admin-guide/README.rst first.
In order to build the documentation, use ``make htmldocs`` or
``make pdfdocs``. The formatted documentation can also be read online at:
https://www.kernel.org/doc/html/latest/
There are various text files in the Documentation/ subdirectory,
several of them using the Restructured Text markup notation.
Please read the Documentation/process/changes.rst file, as it contains the
requirements for building and running the kernel, and information about
the problems which may result by upgrading your kernel.
