Speed up wait.expect test
...

Remove some of the wait tests
...
This cuts the time down to about half. It's still the longest part of
the test suite, but that's probably unavoidable.

This was probably the result of a botched merge.
Unfortunately these tests take quite a while, so maybe we should
remove some?

This reverts commit b38ac1e35df5c8588a8ee1aa01912f32e1492037 as wait now
supports process expansion (via the wait wrapper).
