tests: redo test argv file line wrapping Back in commit bd6c46fa0cfe275c24debc1152cfc5206c04b59b Author: Juerg Haefliger <juerg.haefliger@hp.com> Date: Mon Jan 31 06:42:57 2011 -0500 tests: handle backspace-newline pairs in test input files all the test argv files were line wrapped so that the args were less than 80 characters. The way the line wrapping was done turns out to be quite undesirable, because it often leaves multiple parameters on the same line. If we later need to add or remove individual parameters, then it leaves us having to redo line wrapping. This commit changes the line wrapping so that every single "-param value" is one its own new line. If the "value" is still too long, then we break on ',' or ':' or ' ' as needed. This means that when we come to add / remove parameters from the test files line, the patch diffs will only ever show a single line added/removed which will greatly simplify review work. tests: unify qemu binary paths for all qemu related tests Our test data used a lot of different qemu binary paths and some of them were based on downstream systems. qemu: Specify format= iff disk source is not empty Just recently, qemu forbade specifying format for sourceless disks (qemu commit 39c4ae941ed992a3bb5). It kind of makes sense. If there's no file to open, why specify its format. Anyway, I have a domain like this: <disk type='file' device='cdrom'> <driver name='qemu' type='raw'/> <target dev='hda' bus='ide'/> <readonly/> <address type='drive' controller='0' bus='0' target='0' unit='0'/> </disk> and obviously I am unable to start it. qemu: capabilities: Always assume QEMU_CAPS_BOOTINDEX The field was added in qemu v0.13.0-rc0-731-g1ca4d09ae0 so all supported qemu versions now use it. There's a LOT of test fallout as we did not use capabilities close enough to upstream for many of our tests. Several tests had a 'bootindex' variant. qemu: Provide default LUN=0 for iSCSI if not provided https://bugzilla.redhat.com/show_bug.cgi?id=1477880 If the "/#" is missing from the provided iSCSI path, then we need to provide the default LUN of /0; otherwise, QEMU will fail to parse the URL causing a failure to either create the guest or hotplug attach the storage. During post parse, for any iSCSI disk or hostdev, scan the source path looking for the presence of '/', if found, then we can assume the LUN is provided. If not found, alter the input XML to add the "/0". This will cause the generated XML to have the generated value when the domain config is saved after post parse.

hostdev: Add iSCSI hostdev XML Introduce a new structure to handle an iSCSI host device based on the existing virDomainHostdevSubsysSCSI by adding a "protocol='iscsi'" to the <source/> element. The existing scsi_host subsystem RNG was modified to read an optional "protocol='adapter'", although it won't be written out nor is it documented as an option (by choice). The new hostdev structure mimics the existing <disk/> element for an iSCSI device (network) device. New XML is: <hostdev mode='subsystem' type='scsi' managed='yes'> <source protocol='iscsi' name='iqn.1992-01.com.example'> <host name='example.org' port='3260'/> <auth username='myname'> <secret type='iscsi' usage='mycluster_myname'/> </auth> </source> <address type='drive' controller='0' bus='0' target='2' unit='5'/> </hostdev> The controller element will mimic the existing scsi_host code insomuch as when 'lsi' and 'virtio-scsi' are used.
