This function is computed in bytes from the beginning starting at zero and finishing at the size in byte of the file if parsing a file. The function is of constant cost if the input is UTF-8 but can be costly if run on non-UTF-8 input.

Cleanup function for the XML library. It tries to reclaim all parsing related global memory allocated for the library processing. It doesn't deallocate any document related memory. Calling this function should not prevent reusing the library but one should call xmlCleanupParser() only when the process has finished using the library or XML document built with it.

This function name is somewhat misleading. It does not clean up parser state, it cleans up memory allocated by the library itself. It is a cleanup function for the XML library.
