1832f310ac Add --type to lvcreate/resize. 
Add virtual segment types, zero and error.

A large sparse device can be constructed as a writeable snapshot of a large
zero device.

Clear many compiler warnings (i386) & associated bugs - hopefully without
introducing too many new bugs:-)  (Same exercise required for other archs.)
Default compilation has optimisation - or else use ./configure --enable-debug
