fc5bc5985d vdo: use only verbose log level for reformating
When lvcreate is makeing VDO pool and user has not specified -V size,
ATM we actually run 'vdoformat' twice to get properly 'extent' aligned
size matching lvm2 properties - so the 2nd. run of vdoformat actually
can stay with 'log_verbose()' so the standard printed result
is not showing confusing info (which is now also correctly using
print_unless_silent)

e2e31d9acf vdo: enhance lvcreate validation
When creating VDO pool based of % values, lvm2 is now more clever
and avoids to create 'unsupportable' sizes of physical backend
volumes as 16TiB is maximum size supported by VDO target
(and also limited by maximum supportable slabs (8192) based on slab
size.

If the requested virtual size is approaching max supported size 4PiB,
switch header size to 0.

a477490e81 vdo: add reformating to extent size aligned virtual size
Newer VDO kernel target require to have matching virtual size - this
however cause incompatiblity when lvcreate is let to format VDO data
device and read the usable size from vdoformat.
Altough this is a kernel regression and will likely get fixed,
lvm2 can actually reformat VDO device to use properly aligned VDO LV
size to make this problem disappear.

ebad057579 vdo: check vdo memory constrains
Add function to check for avaialble memory for particular VDO
configuration - to avoid unnecessary machine swapping for configs
that will not fit into memory (possibly in locked section).

Formula tries to estimate RAM size machine can use also with
swapping for kernel target - but still leaving some amount of
usable RAM.

Estimation is based on documented RAM usage of VDO target.

If the /proc/meminfo would be theoretically unavailable, try to use
'sysinfo()' function, however this is giving only free RAM without
the knowledge about how much RAM could be eventually swapped.

TODO: move _get_memory_info() into generic lvm2 API function used
by other targets with non-trivial memory requirements.

e6f735d411 vdo: read new sysfs path
New versions of kvdo module exposes statistics at new location:
/sys/block/dm-XXX/vdo/statistics/...

Enhance lvm2 to access this location first.
Also if the statistic info is missing - make it 'debug' level info,
so it is not failing 'lvs' command.

2c6a2b6e86 vdo: support vdo_pool_header_size
Add profilable configurable setting for vdo pool header size, that is
used as 'extra' empty space at the front and end of vdo-pool device
to avoid having a disk in the system the may have same data is real
vdo LV.

For some conversion cases however we may need to allow using '0' header size.

TODO: in this case we may eventually avoid adding 'linear' mapping layer
in future - but this requires further modification over lvm code base.

a915cd5a46 lvconvert: vdo may convert already formated vdo
User use 'lvconvert -Zn --type vdo-pool' to convert an existing
vdo formated volume and skip lvm2 internal formating.
This however requires user is passing proper matching parameters.
For them user can use --profile|--metadataprofile option whos
support has been also enhanced.

TODO: add support to read values directly from formated volume.

d02d7bc560 vdo: fix slab size bits calculation
When formating VDO volume, the calculated amound of bits
for 'vdoformat --slab-bits' parameter was shifted by 2 bits
(calculated size was making 2MiB vdo_slab_size_mb value appear like if
user would be specifying only 512KiB)

Fixed by properly converting internal size_mb value to KiB.

3716aa848e vdo: fix vdoformat when -V is specified
The previous patch improved read of pipe when lvm2 was looking
for default logical size, but we clearly must read pipe also
for -V case, when the logical size is already defined.

6612d8dd5e vdo: enhance activation with layer -vpool
Enhance 'activation' experience for VDO pool to more closely match
what happens for thin-pools where we do use a 'fake' LV to keep pool
running even when no thinLVs are active. This gives user a choice
whether he want to keep thin-pool running (wihout possibly lenghty
activation/deactivation process)

As we do plan to support multple VDO LVs to be mapped into a single VDO,
we want to give user same experience and 'use-patter' as with thin-pools.

This patch gives option to activate VDO pool only without activating
VDO LV.

Also due to 'fake' layering LV we can protect usage of VDO pool from
command like 'mkfs' which do require exlusive access to the volume,
which is no longer possible.

Note: VDO pool contains 1024 initial sectors as 'empty' header - such
header is also exposed in layered LV (as read-only LV).
For blkid we are indentified as LV with UUID suffix - thus private DM
device of lvm2 - so we do not need to store any extra info in this
header space (aka zero is good enough).

3320ab8334 lib: move towards v2 version of VDO format
Drop very old original format of VDO target and focus on V2 version.
So some variables were renamed or replaced.
There is no compatibility preserved (with assumption so far this is
experimental feature and there is no real user).

Note - version currently VDO calls this version 6.2.
