I've split the old autobackup function into two seperate areas: 'archiving' is performed *before* a vg configuration is changed. This produces a numbered backup in /etc/lvm/archive. A 'backup' is performed *after* a vg change. So the directory /etc/lvm/backup will hold the a copy of the current configuration. |

This directory contains an alpha release of LMV2, the new version of the userland LVM tools designed for the new device-mapper for the Linux kernel. The device-mapper needs to be installed before compiling these LVM2 tools. For more information about LVM2 read the INTRO file. Installation instructions are in INSTALL.
