When called without the --cache option, pvscan lists PVs on the system,

When --cache is used, pvscan updates runtime lvm state on the system, or
|
|
with -aay performs autoactivation.

results to perform autoactivation.

lvchange with --setautoactivation y|n, or by adding names to
