Previously, logind had four device monitor instances: - for matching with master-of-seat tag, - for matching with input, graphics, and drm subsystems, - for matching with input subsystem with power-switch tag, - for matching with vc subsystem. The callback functions for both the first and second device monitor called manager_process_seat_device(). Hence, if udevd broadcast a uevent e.g. for a drm device with a master-of-seat tag, then logind called the function two times for a single uevent. With this commit, the four device monitor instances are merged into one. Hence, manager_process_seat_device() is called at most once per a uevent.
