4a1eed5043 build: Separate autoconf macros for pmda
The pmda stuff is no longer built by default even if the headers are
available. To build, run "configure --enable-pmda".

8cbf1a00c4 Build: Set the default ctdb socket path at configure time
The ctdb socket path currently defaults to /tmp/ctdb.socket and can be
modified at runtime using the --socket=filename option, common to both
ctdb and ctdbd binaries.

This change allows the default path to be set at configure time using
the --with-socketpath=FILE argument. When not specified, the default
path remains /tmp/ctdb.socket, documentation remains unchanged as a
result.

1ed5288c38 GNU/Hurd support
CTDB has the following limitations on GNU Hurd:

- The pid of a peer is not get from the socket [1]. As a consequence, the peer
process is not killed when releasing IP [2].

- Gratuitous arp are not yet supported [3]

- network interfaces are always considered present [4]

9699e5750d pmda: Initial ctdb pmda check-in
The CTDB Performance Metrics Domain Agent (PMDA) is compiled when
Performance Co-Pilot (PCP) header files are present.

The CTDB PMDA periodically requests runtime counters from ctdbd (similar
to ctdb statistics) and exports these values via PCP for capture and
charting etc.

f93440c4b7 event: Update events to latest Samba version 0.9.8
In Samba this is now called "tevent", and while we use the backwards
compatibility wrappers they don't offer EVENT_FD_AUTOCLOSE: that is now
a separate tevent_fd_set_auto_close() function.

This is based on Samba version 7f29f817fa939ef1bbb740584f09e76e2ecd5b06.

af2613e16f ctdb: use mlockall, cautiously
We don't want ctdb stalling due to paging; this can be far worse than
scheduling delays. But if we simply do mlockall(MCL_FUTURE), it
increases the risk that mmap (ie. tdb open) or malloc will fail,
causing us to abort.

This patch is a compromise: we mlock all current pages (including
10k of future stack for expansion) and then relock when a client
asks us to open a TDB. We warn, but don't exit, if it fails.

292e9d9109 add an initial test version of an ip multiplex tool that allows us
to have one single public ip address for the entire cluster.

this ip address is attached to lo on all nodes but only the recmaster
will respond to arp requests for this address.
the recmaster then runs an ipmux process that will pass any incoming
packets to this ip address onto the other node sin the cluster based on
the ip address of the client host

to use this feature one must
1, have one fixed ip address in the customers network attached
permanently attached to an interface
2, set CTDB_PUBLI_INTERFACE=
to specify on which interface the clients attach to the node
3, CTDB_SINGLE_PUBLI_IP=ip-address
to specify which ipaddress should be the "single public ip address"

to test with only one single client, attach several ip addresses to
the client and ping the public address from the client with different -I
options. look in network trace to see to which node the packet is
passed onto.
