d01824b785 r12877: Stop passing structs around in smb messages, instead
always linearize into little-endian. Should fix all
Solaris issues with this, plus provide a cleaner base
moving forward for cluster-aware Samba where smbd's
can communicate across different compilers/architectures
(eventually these message will have to go cross-machine).

932e337db8 r12213: Final fix for #3303 - send rename messages to smbd's
that have open file handles to allow them to correctly
implement delete on close. There is a further correctness
fix I'm intending to add to this to cope with different share
paths, but not right now...

9d93af713f r12203: Add the share path into the sharemode db. This involves
revving the minor version number for libsmbsharemodes (we
now have a new _ex interface that takes the share path
as well as the filename). Needed for #3303. Some code written
by SATOH Fumiyasu <fumiya@samba.gr.jp> included in the changes
to locking/locking.c. The smbstatus output is a bit of a mess
and needs overhauling...

49ef8b88a3 r11190: Fix enhancement request #3192.
This does 2 things.
1). Makes dfree command a per-share parameter (it should be anyway IMHO).
2). Adds a "dfree cache time" parameter in seconds that specifies how long a
dfree command output should be cached for. Default is zero (no caching).

da4238d18c r10979: After discussions on IRC about profile shares,
added new parameter : map readonly = [yes|no|permissions]
If yes: map inverse of user "w" bit to mean readonly.
If no: never set DOS readonly bit.
If permissions: check file permissions for user and set readonly
bit if the current user cannot write.
If store dos attributes is set to yes then this parameter
is ignored.

4e0ac63c36 r6014: rather large change set....
pulling back all recent rpc changes from trunk into
3.0. I've tested a compile and so don't think I've missed
any files. But if so, just mail me and I'll clean backup
in a couple of hours.

Changes include \winreg, \eventlog, \svcctl, and
general parse_misc.c updates.

I am planning on bracketing the event code with an
#ifdef ENABLE_EVENTLOG until I finish merging Marcin's
changes (very soon).

c0e7f7ff60 r5056: * correct STANDARD_RIGHTS_WRITE_ACCESS bitmask define
* make sure to apply the rights_mask and not just the saved
bits from the mask in access_check_samr_object()
* allow root to grant/revoke privileges (in addition to Domain
  Admins) as suggested by Volker.

Tested machine joins from XP, 2K, and NT4 with and without
pre-existing machine trust accounts. Also tested basic file
operations using cmd.exe and explorer.exe after changing the
STANDARD_RIGHTS_WRITE_ACCESS bitmask.

41dc7f7573 r4805: Last planned change to the privileges infrastructure:
* rewrote the tdb layout of privilege records in account_pol.tdb
(allow for 128 bits instead of 32 bit flags)
* migrated to using SE_PRIV structure instead of the PRIVILEGE_SET
structure. The latter is now used for parsing routines mainly.

Still need to incorporate some client support into 'net' so
for setting privileges. And make use of the SeAddUserPrivilege
right.

77c10ff9aa r4724: Add support for Windows privileges in Samba 3.0
(based on Simo's code in trunk). Rewritten with the
following changes:

* privilege set is based on a 32-bit mask instead of strings
(plans are to extend this to a 64 or 128-bit mask before
   the next 3.0.11preX release).
* Remove the privilege code from the passdb API
  (replication to come later)
* Only support the minimum amount of privileges that make
  sense.
* Rewrite the domain join checks to use the SeMachineAccountPrivilege
instead of the 'is a member of "Domain Admins"?' check that started
  all this.

Still todo:

* Utilize the SePrintOperatorPrivilege in addition to the 'printer admin'
  parameter
* Utilize the SeAddUserPrivilege for adding users and groups
* Fix some of the hard coded _lsa_*() calls
* Start work on enough of SAM replication to get privileges from one
  Samba DC to another.
* Come up with some management tool for manipultaing privileges
instead of user manager since it is buggy when run on a 2k client
(haven't tried xp). Works ok on NT4.

8d9dc7d543 r4514: Fix for bugzilla 1770. Remove READ_ATTRIBUTES from GENERIC_EXECUTE, otherwise
modification of an ACL that contains an ACE with execute only will cause

cf84c0fe1a r1154: Change default setting for case sensitivity to "auto". If set to auto
then is the client supports it (current clients supported are Samba and
CIFSVFS - detected by the negprot strings "Samba", "POSIX 2" and a bare
"NT LM 0.12" string) then the setting of the per packet flag smb_flag
FLAG_CASELESS_PATHNAMES is taken into account per packet. This allows
the linux CIFS client to use Samba in a case sensitive manner.
Additional command in smbclient "case_sensitive", toggles the
flag in subsequent packets.
