1251a536df s3: vfs: add smb_vfs_ev_glue
This adds VFS helper functions and that work on a struct smb_vfs_ev_glue
object which bundles two event contexts and a few threadpools.

This will be used to streamline the use of impersonating wrappers
in the SMB_VFS.

Notice the verbose comments in source3/smbd/vfs.c.

This will allow us to introduce path based async operations
to the SMB_VFS layer.

3645f83a3c s3/vfs: make SMB_VFS_OFFLOAD_WRITE_SEND offload token based
Remove the source fsp argument and instead pass the offload token
generated with SMB_VFS_OFFLOAD_READ_SEND/RECV.

An actual offload fsctl is not implemented yet, neither in the VFS nor

af6cbc7a44 s3/vfs: add SMB_VFS_OFFLOAD_READ_SEND/RECV
Add SMB_VFS_OFFLOAD_READ_SEND an SMB_VFS_OFFLOAD_READ_RECV.

This paves the way for supporting server-side copy-chunk with source and
destination file-handles on different shares. It can be used to
implement copy offload fsctl in the future, but for now this will be
used as a mere copy-chunk replacement.

SMB_VFS_OFFLOAD_READ generates a token that associates an fsp with the
token and stores the fsp in a in-memory db.

Initially only a copy-chunk resume key fsctl is supported. In the future
this can be enhanced to support real offload fsctl.

Hi David,

We have made the following spec changes for the next doc release:

In section 2.1.5.9.4 FSCTL_DUPLICATE_EXTENTS_TO_FILE behavior notes have
been added to the following paragraphs.

Before:
§ The object store MUST check for byte range lock conflicts on
Open.Stream using the algorithm described in section 2.1.4.10 with
ByteOffset set to InputBuffer.TargetFileOffset, Length set to
InputBuffer.ByteCount, IsExclusive set to TRUE, LockIntent set to FALSE,
and Open set to Open. If a conflict is detected, the operation MUST be
failed with STATUS_FILE_LOCK_CONFLICT.

§ The object store MUST check for byte range lock conflicts on Source
using the algorithm described in section 2.1.4.10 with ByteOffset set to
InputBuffer.SourceFileOffset, Length set to InputBuffer.ByteCount,
IsExclusive set to FALSE, LockIntent set to FALSE, and Open set to
InputBuffer.FileHandle. If a conflict is detected, the operation MUST be
failed with STATUS_FILE_LOCK_CONFLICT.

After:
§ The object store SHOULD<WBN1> check for byte range lock conflicts on
Open.Stream using the algorithm described in section 2.1.4.10 with
ByteOffset set to InputBuffer.TargetFileOffset, Length set to
InputBuffer.ByteCount, IsExclusive set to TRUE, LockIntent set to FALSE,
and Open set to Open. If a conflict is detected, the operation MUST be
failed with STATUS_FILE_LOCK_CONFLICT.

§ The object store SHOULD<WBN2> check for byte range lock conflicts on
Source using the algorithm described in section 2.1.4.10 with ByteOffset
set to InputBuffer.SourceFileOffset, Length set to
InputBuffer.ByteCount, IsExclusive set to FALSE, LockIntent set to
FALSE, and Open set to InputBuffer.FileHandle. If a conflict is
detected, the operation MUST be failed with STATUS_FILE_LOCK_CONFLICT.

WBN1: The ReFS file system in Windows Server 2016 does not check for
byte range lock conflicts on Open.Stream.
WBN2: The ReFS file system in Windows Server 2016 does not check for
byte range lock conflicts on Source.

12c0b6bf40 s3/vfs: change fallocate mode flags from enum->uint32_t
The Linux fallocate syscall offers a mode parameter which can take the
following flags:
FALLOC_FL_KEEP_SIZE
FALLOC_FL_PUNCH_HOLE (since 2.6.38)
FALLOC_FL_COLLAPSE_RANGE (since 3.15)
FALLOC_FL_ZERO_RANGE (since 3.14)

The flags are not exclusive, e.g. FALLOC_FL_PUNCH_HOLE must be specified
alongside FALLOC_FL_KEEP_SIZE.

Samba currently takes a vfs_fallocate_mode enum parameter for the VFS
fallocate hook, taking either an EXTEND_SIZE or KEEP_SIZE value. This
commit changes the fallocate hook such that it accepts a uint32_t flags
parameter, in preparation for PUNCH_HOLE and ZERO_RANGE support.

e25830dcd8 s3-smbd: Remove sys_acl_*() VFS wrapper functions
We no longer do struct smb_acl_t manipuations via the VFS layer,
which is now reduced to handling the get/set functions.

The only backend that implemented these functions (aside from audit)
was the vfs_default module calling the sys_acl code. The various ACL
implementation modules either worked on the fully initilaised
smb_acl_t object or on NT ACLs.

This not only makes the operation of the posix ACL code more efficient
(as allocation and free is not put via the VFS), it makes it easier to
test and removes the fantasy that a module could safely redefine this
structure or the behaviour here.

The smb_acls.idl now defines the structure, and it is now allocated
with talloc.

These operations were originally added to the VFS in commit

716ea734e4 Rename vfs operation posix_fallocate to just fallocate and add the vfs_fallocate_mode parameter.
It turns out we need the fallocate operations to be able to both
allocate and extend filesize, and to allocate and not extend
filesize, and posix_fallocate can only do the former. So by defining
the vfs op as posix_fallocate we lose the opportunity to use any
underlying syscalls (like Linux fallocate) that can do the latter
as well.

We don't currently use the non-extending filesize call, but now
I've changed the vfs op definition we can in the future. For the
moment simply map the fallocate op onto posix_fallocate for the
VFS_FALLOCATE_EXTEND_SIZE case and return ENOSYS for the
VFS_FALLOCATE_KEEP_SIZE case.

e129384d7c s3: Plumb smb_filename through SMB_VFS_STAT and SMB_VFS_LSTAT
This patch introduces two new temporary helper functions
vfs_stat_smb_fname and vfs_lstat_smb_fname. They basically allowed me
to call the new smb_filename version of stat, while avoiding plumbing
it through callers that are still too inconvenient. As the conversion
moves along, I will be able to remove callers of this, with the goal
being to remove all callers.

There was also a bug in create_synthetic_smb_fname_split (also a
temporary utility function) that caused it to incorrectly handle
filenames with ':'s in them when in posix mode. This is now fixed.

4e3656b8d1 s3: Change SMB_VFS_OPEN to take an smb_filename struct
This was a little messy because of all of the vfs modules I had to
touch. Most of them were pretty straight forward, but the streams
modules required a little attention to handle smb_filename. Since the
use of smb_filename enables the vfs modules to access the raw,
over-the-wire stream, a little bit of the handling that was being done
by split_ntfs_stream_name has now been shifted into the individual
stream modules. It may be a little more code, but overall it gives
more flexibility to the streams modules, while also allowing correct
stream handling.

813273c87e Add VFS ops for Windows BRL: Lock, Unlock and Cancel:
This patch adds 3 new VFS OPs for Windows byte range locking: BRL_LOCK_WINDOWS,
BRL_UNLOCK_WINDOWS and BRL_CANCEL_WINDOWS. Specifically:

* I renamed brl_lock_windows, brl_unlock_windows and brl_lock_cancel to
*_default as the default implementations of the VFS ops.
* The blocking_lock_record (BLR) is now passed into the brl_lock_windows and
brl_cancel_windows paths. The Onefs implementation uses it - future
implementations may find it useful too.
* Created brl_lock_cancel to do what brl_lock/brl_unlock do: set up a
lock_struct and call either the Posix or Windows lock function. These happen
to be the same for the default implementation.
* Added helper functions: increment_current_lock_count() and
  decrement_current_lock_count().
* Minor spelling correction in brl_timeout_fn: brl -> blr.
* Changed blocking_lock_cancel() to return the BLR that it has cancelled. This
allows us to assert its the lock that we wanted to cancel. If this assert ever
fires, this path will need to take in the BLR to cancel, rather than choosing
  on its own.
* Adds a small helper function: find_blocking_lock_record_by_id(). Used by the
OneFS implementation, but could be useful for others.

11f60a62a1 s3: OneFS bulk directory enumeration support
OneFS provides the bulk directory enumeration syscall readdirplus(). This
syscall has the same semantics as the NFSv3 READDIRPLUS command, returning
a batch of directory entries with prefetched stat information via one
syscall.

This commit wraps the readdirplus() call in the existing POSIX
readdir/seekdir VFS interface. By default a batch of 128 directory entries
are optimistically read from the kernel into a global cache, and fed to
iterative calls of VFS_OP_READDIR.

The global buffers could be avoided in the future by hanging connection
specific buffers off the conn struct.

Added new parameter "onefs:use readdirplus" which toggles usage of this
code on or off.

af0e199b31 Add an optional SMB_STRUCT_SMB parameter to VFS_OP_READDIR
* this allows VFS implementations that prefetch stat information on
readdir to return it through one VFS call
* backwards compatibility is maintained by passing in NULL
* if the system readdir doesn't return stat info, the stat struct is
  set to invalid

122dbbf00a s3 vfs: Add a destructor to the fsp extension data API
I'm not certain if the dummy pointer is needed in struct vfs_fsp_data,
but I added it to be consistent with the comment below.

This allows module implementors to customize what allocation size is
returned to the client.

48b0016cff Extend NTIMES to allow setting create_time
1) Add in smb_file_time struct to clarify code and make room for createtime.
2) Get and set create time from SMB messages.
3) Fixup existing VFS modules + examples Some OS'es allow for the
setting of the birthtime through kernel interfaces. This value is
generically used for Windows createtime, but is not settable in the
code today.

21b9dec990 Pass the get_real_filename operation through the VFS
This is done to help file systems that can tell us about the real upper/lower
case combination given a case-insensitive file name. The sample I will soon
push is the gpfs module (recent gpfs has a get_real_filename function), others
might have a similar function to help alleviate the 1million files in a single
directory problem.

Jeremy, please comment!

Thanks,

Volker

5844012285 s3: Change SMB_VFS_CREATE_FILE to take a create_file_flags argument
This replaces the is_dos_path bool with a more future-proof argument.
The next step is to plumb INTERNAL_OPEN_ONLY through this flag instead
of overridding the oplock_request.

f995a7af2a s3: Add new "is_dos_path" argument to SMB_VFS_CREATE_FILE
Now unix paths can be differentiated from windows paths so the
underlying create_file implementations can convert paths correctly.

ec5d09dbff Update vfs version as I've added a const to the security_descriptor paramter in fset_nt_acl().
Need to watch the build farm to make sure I haven't broken the AIX or Solaris ACL modules.

00b2cdf75e Yay ! Remove a VFS entry. Removed the set_nt_acl() call,
this can only be done via fset_nt_acl() using an open
file/directory handle. I'd like to do the same with
get_nt_acl() but am concerned about efficiency
problems with "hide unreadable/hide unwritable" when
doing a directory listing (this would mean opening
every file in the dir on list).
Moving closer to rationalizing the ACL model and
maybe moving the POSIX calls into a posix_acl VFS
module rather than having them as first class citizens
of the VFS.

9a22653222 Add SMB_VFS_FS_CAPABILITIES
It turns out that this is a necessary operation, separate from statvfs. statvfs
can fail during tcon, so conn->fs_capabilities would never see that we support
streams on a particular share.

James, can you check that I got the darwin variant right? Thanks!
