9958d30f38 media: Kconfig: cleanup VIDEO_DEV dependencies
media Kconfig has two entries associated to V4L API:
VIDEO_DEV and VIDEO_V4L2.

On Kernel 2.6.x, there were two V4L APIs, each one with its own flag.
VIDEO_DEV were meant to:
	1) enable Video4Linux and make its Kconfig options to appear;
	2) it makes the Kernel build the V4L core.

while VIDEO_V4L2 where used to distinguish between drivers that
implement the newer API and drivers that implemented the former one.

With time, such meaning changed, specially after the removal of
all V4L version 1 drivers.

At the current implementation, VIDEO_DEV only does (1): it enables
the media options related to V4L, that now has:

	menu "Video4Linux options"
		visible if VIDEO_DEV

	source "drivers/media/v4l2-core/Kconfig"
	endmenu

but it doesn't affect anymore the V4L core drivers.

The rationale is that the V4L2 core has a "soft" dependency
at the I2C bus, and now requires to select a number of other
Kconfig options:

	config VIDEO_V4L2
		tristate
		depends on (I2C || I2C=n) && VIDEO_DEV
		select RATIONAL
		select VIDEOBUF2_V4L2 if VIDEOBUF2_CORE
		default (I2C || I2C=n) && VIDEO_DEV

In the past, merging them would be tricky, but it seems that it is now
possible to merge those symbols, in order to simplify V4L dependencies.

Let's keep VIDEO_DEV, as this one is used on some make *defconfig
configurations.

5f1501fd47 v4l: fwnode: Remove now-redundant loop from v4l2_fwnode_parse_reference()
v4l2_fwnode_parse_reference() relied on counting the number of references
for async array memory allocation. The array is long gone so remove
counting the references now.

This also changes how the function arrives in different unsuccessful
return values but the functionality remains unchanged.

cb2a3293ca v4l: fwnode: Drop redunant -ENODATA check in property reference parsing
The check of -ENODATA return value from
fwnode_property_get_reference_args() was made redundant by commit
c343bc2ce2 ("ACPI: properties: Align return codes of
__acpi_node_get_property_reference()"). -ENOENT remains to be used to
signal there are no further entries.

Remove the check for -ENODATA.

0f6146d476 media: v4l2-core: Initialize h264 scaling matrix
In the final H264 API, it is not required to set scaling matrix if
they are not present in the bitstream. A flag was added in order to let
the driver know. The downside is that it leaves the default control
value to 0, which isn't valid. As per the spec (see formulas 7-8/7-9),
when the scaling matrix are absent from the bitstream, flat values
of 16 should be used. This improves this control semantic in a way
that the control value are always valid. Drivers can then use
the scaling_matrix control values without having to check its presence.
Same method was employed for MPEG2_QUANTISATION.

This fixes issues with MTK VCODEC H264 decoder when using GStreamer.
GStreamer does not set this control if its not present in the bitstream.
As MTK VDCODEC was using the initialized to 0 values, the frames ended
up completely gray.

24bb30c8c8 media: v4l: Avoid unaligned access warnings when printing 4cc modifiers
Pointers V4L2 pixelformat and dataformat fields in a few packed structs
are directly passed to printk family of functions. This could result in an
unaligned access albeit no such possibility appears to exist at the
moment i.e. this clang warning appears to be a false positive.

Address the warning by copying the pixelformat or dataformat value to a
local variable first.

8310ca9407 media: v4l2-mem2mem: Apply DST_QUEUE_OFF_BASE on MMAP buffers across ioctls
DST_QUEUE_OFF_BASE is applied to offset/mem_offset on MMAP capture buffers
only for the VIDIOC_QUERYBUF ioctl, while the userspace fields (including
offset/mem_offset) are filled in for VIDIOC_{QUERY,PREPARE,Q,DQ}BUF
ioctls. This leads to differences in the values presented to userspace.
If userspace attempts to mmap the capture buffer directly using values
from DQBUF, it will fail.

Move the code that applies the magic offset into a helper, and call
that helper from all four ioctl entry points.

If V4L2_CAP_READWRITE is not set, then readbuffers must be set to 0,
otherwise v4l2-compliance will complain.

A note on the Fixes tag below: this patch does not really fix that commit,
but it can be applied from that commit onwards. For older code there is no
guarantee that device_caps is set, so even though this patch would apply,
it will not work reliably.

For platforms without MMU the m2m provides a helper method
v4l2_m2m_get_unmapped_area(), The mmap() routines will call
this to get a proposed address for the mapping.

678d92b612 media: v4l2-core: fix VIDIOC_DQEVENT handling on non-x86
My previous bugfix addressed an API inconsistency found by syzbot,
and it correctly fixed the issue on x86-64 machines, which now behave
correctly for both native and compat tasks.

Unfortunately, John found that the patch broke compat mode on all other
architectures, as they can no longer rely on the VIDIOC_DQEVENT_TIME32
code from the native handler as a fallback in the compat code.

The best way I can see for addressing this is to generalize the
VIDIOC_DQEVENT32_TIME32 code from x86 and use that for all architectures,
leaving only the VIDIOC_DQEVENT32 variant as x86 specific. The original
code was trying to be clever and use the same conversion helper for native
32-bit code and compat mode, but that turned out to be too obscure so
even I missed that bit I had introduced myself when I made the fix.

This patch lets user-space request a non-coherent memory
allocation during CREATE_BUFS and REQBUFS ioctl calls.

= CREATE_BUFS

  struct v4l2_create_buffers has seven 4-byte reserved areas,
  so reserved[0] is renamed to ->flags. The struct, thus, now
  has six reserved 4-byte regions.

= CREATE_BUFS32

  struct v4l2_create_buffers32 has seven 4-byte reserved areas,
  so reserved[0] is renamed to ->flags. The struct, thus, now
  has six reserved 4-byte regions.

= REQBUFS

 We use one byte of a 4 byte ->reserved[1] member of struct
 v4l2_requestbuffers. The struct, thus, now has reserved 3 bytes.

Fix the following issues:

- Do not check for multiple classes when getting the DEF_VAL.
- Return -EINVAL for request_api calls
- Default value cannot be changed, return EINVAL as soon as possible.
- Return the right error_idx
[If an error is found when validating the list of controls passed with
VIDIOC_G_EXT_CTRLS, then error_idx shall be set to ctrls->count to
indicate to userspace that no actual hardware was touched.
It would have been much nicer of course if error_idx could point to the
control index that failed the validation, but sadly that's not how the
API was designed.]

a9c80593ff media: v4l2-ctrls: Add V4L2_CID_NOTIFY_GAINS control
We add a new control V4L2_CID_NOTIFY_GAINS which allows the sensor to
be notified what gains will be applied to the different colour
channels by subsequent processing (such as by an ISP), even though the
sensor will not apply any of these gains itself.

For Bayer sensors this will be an array control taking 4 values which
are the 4 gains arranged in the fixed order B, Gb, Gr and R,
irrespective of the exact Bayer order of the sensor itself. The use of
an array makes it straightforward to extend this control to non-Bayer
sensors (for example, sensors with an RGBW pattern) in future.

The units are in all cases linear with the default value indicating a
gain of exactly 1.0. For example, if the default value were reported as
128 then the value 192 would represent a gain of exactly 1.5.

4108b3e6db media: v4l2-dv-timings.c: fix wrong condition in two for-loops
These for-loops should test against v4l2_dv_timings_presets[i].bt.width,
not if i < v4l2_dv_timings_presets[i].bt.width. Luckily nothing ever broke,
since the smallest width is still a lot higher than the total number of
presets, but it is wrong.

The last item in the presets array is all 0, so the for-loop must stop
when it reaches that sentinel.

a40eba9b26 media: v4l2-flash: Add sanity checks for flash and indicator controls
The V4L2 flash API supports combinations of indicator and flash LEDs. Due
to this, there's a fair amount of code that deals with all the possible
options and just reading one part of the file doesn't really tell which
combinations are really possible.

Make the checks more explicit to keep static analysers happy and to make
the code more resilient to future mishaps.

I spotted a minor difference is handling of unregistered devices
between native and compat ioctls: the native handler never tries
to call into the driver if a device is not marked as registered.

I did not check whether this can cause issues in the kernel, or
just a different between return codes, but it clearly makes
sense that both should behave the same way.

765ba251d2 media: subdev: remove VIDIOC_DQEVENT_TIME32 handling
Converting the VIDIOC_DQEVENT_TIME32/VIDIOC_DQEVENT32/
VIDIOC_DQEVENT32_TIME32 arguments to the canonical form is done in common
code, but for some reason I ended up adding another conversion helper to
subdev_do_ioctl() as well. I must have concluded that this does not go
through the common conversion, but it has done that since the ioctl
handler was first added.

I assume this one is harmless as there should be no way to arrive here
from user space if CONFIG_COMPAT_32BIT_TIME is set, but since it is dead
code, it should just get removed.

On a 64-bit architecture, as well as a 32-bit architecture without
CONFIG_COMPAT_32BIT_TIME, handling this command is a mistake,
and the kernel should return an error.

7b53cca764 media: v4l2-core: explicitly clear ioctl input data
As seen from a recent syzbot bug report, mistakes in the compat ioctl
implementation can lead to uninitialized kernel stack data getting used
as input for driver ioctl handlers.

The reported bug is now fixed, but it's possible that other related
bugs are still present or get added in the future. As the drivers need
to check user input already, the possible impact is fairly low, but it
might still cause an information leak.

To be on the safe side, always clear the entire ioctl buffer before
calling the conversion handler functions that are meant to initialize
them.

The time32 commands are defined but were never meant to be called on
64-bit machines, as those have always used time64 interfaces.  I missed
this in my patch that introduced the time64 handling on 32-bit platforms.

The problem in this case is the mismatch of one function checking for
the numeric value of the command and another function checking for the
type of process (native vs compat) instead, with the result being that
for this combination, nothing gets copied into the buffer at all.

Avoid this by only trying to convert the time32 commands when running
on a 32-bit kernel where these are defined in a meaningful way.

0d346d2a6f media: v4l2-subdev: add subdev-wide state struct
We have 'struct v4l2_subdev_pad_config' which contains configuration for
a single pad used for the TRY functionality, and an array of those
structs is passed to various v4l2_subdev_pad_ops.

I was working on subdev internal routing between pads, and realized that
there's no way to add TRY functionality for routes, which is not pad
specific configuration. Adding a separate struct for try-route config
wouldn't work either, as e.g. set-fmt needs to know the try-route
configuration to propagate the settings.

This patch adds a new struct, 'struct v4l2_subdev_state' (which at the
moment only contains the v4l2_subdev_pad_config array) and the new
struct is used in most of the places where v4l2_subdev_pad_config was
used. All v4l2_subdev_pad_ops functions taking v4l2_subdev_pad_config
are changed to instead take v4l2_subdev_state.

The changes to drivers/media/v4l2-core/v4l2-subdev.c and
include/media/v4l2-subdev.h were written by hand, and all the driver
changes were done with the semantic patch below. The spatch needs to be
applied to a select list of directories. I used the following shell
commands to apply the spatch:

d395a78db9 media: hevc: Add decode params control
Add decode params control and the associated structure to group
all the information that are needed to decode a reference frame as
is described in ITU-T Rec. H.265 section "8.3.2 Decoding process
for reference picture set".

Adapt Cedrus driver to these changes.
