S3AN flashes use a specific opcode to read the status register. We currently use the SPI_S3AN flag to decide whether this specific SR read opcode should be used, but SPI_S3AN is about to disappear, so let's add a new flag. Note that we use the same bit as SPI_S3AN implies SPI_NOR_XSR_RDY and vice versa. Documentation/admin-guide/README.rst first.
In order to build the documentation, use ``make htmldocs`` or
``make pdfdocs``. The formatted documentation can also be read online at:
https://www.kernel.org/doc/html/latest/
There are various text files in the Documentation/ subdirectory,
several of them using the Restructured Text markup notation.
Please read the Documentation/process/changes.rst file, as it contains the
requirements for building and running the kernel, and information about
the problems which may result by upgrading your kernel.
