* take BSD file lock on tty devices when using them?
2011-04-03 19:08:46 +04:00

symlinks during an RPM package upgrade (filesystem.rpm or systemd.rpm).
2011-04-14 22:16:41 +04:00
(lua code to create symlinks right away for new installations is in filesytem.rpm now)
2011-04-10 03:42:48 +04:00
We soon want to get rid of var-run.mount var-lock.mount units:
2011-04-14 22:16:41 +04:00
if mountpoint /run ; then
umount /var/run || :
else
mount --move /var/run /run || mount --bind /var/run /run
fi
mv /var/run /var/.run.save
ln -s /run /var/run
echo "R /var/.run.save" > /etc/tmpfiles.d/remove-run-save.conf
2011-03-31 04:36:32 +04:00
2011-03-28 23:36:13 +04:00
* when key file cannot be found, read it from kbd in cryptsetup
2011-03-18 05:13:15 +03:00

another switch that shows service that have been running since
booting but aren't running anymore.
* reuse mkdtemp namespace dirs in /tmp?
* recreate systemd's D-Bus private socket file on SIGUSR2
2011-03-17 06:36:19 +03:00
2011-03-17 16:03:17 +03:00
* be more specific what failed:
2011-03-31 04:36:32 +04:00
...
2011-03-17 16:03:17 +03:00
Unmounting file systems.
Not all file systems unmounted, 1 left.
Disabling swaps.
Detaching loop devices.
Detaching DM devices.
Cannot finalize remaining file systems and devices, trying to kill remaining processes.
Unmounting file systems.
Not all file systems unmounted, 1 left.

2011-03-17 06:36:19 +03:00
2011-03-17 17:15:36 +03:00
* check for compiled-in, but not active selinux, and don't print any warnings
about policy loading. Probably check for available selinux in /proc/filesystems,
and check for active selinux with getcon_raw() == "kernel"
2011-03-12 03:03:13 +03:00
* Support --test based on current system state

2011-03-07 04:17:23 +03:00
2011-03-04 01:55:30 +03:00
* show failure error string in "systemctl status"
2011-03-03 18:29:50 +03:00
* make sure timeouts are applied to Type=oneshot services.
2011-03-17 17:15:36 +03:00
* Maybe implement "systemctl mask" and "systemctl unmask", but not
2011-03-01 03:02:35 +03:00
document it? When doing that add switch to make this temporary by
placing mask links in /dev.
2011-02-23 21:44:08 +03:00
* detect LXC environment
2011-02-22 04:45:06 +03:00

* Maybe store in unit files whether a service should be enabled by default on package installation
2011-03-17 16:03:17 +03:00
(belongs into a distro pattern though, not in an upstream package's service file)
2011-02-13 20:51:30 +03:00
2011-02-12 11:31:25 +03:00
* perhaps add "systemctl reenable" as combination of "systemctl disable" and "systemctl enable"
2011-02-15 15:09:00 +03:00
* need a way to apply mount options of api vfs from systemd unit files
2011-04-10 03:42:48 +04:00
(or some other modern source?) instead of fstab?
2011-02-09 02:58:43 +03:00
2011-01-19 01:51:06 +03:00
* maybe introduce ExecRestartPre=
2011-01-08 04:30:07 +03:00
* figure out what happened to bluez patch
2011-01-07 03:12:27 +03:00
* Patch systemd-fsck to use -C and pass console fd to it
2011-01-06 20:54:10 +03:00
* configurable jitter for timer events
2011-04-16 05:29:54 +04:00
* Support ProcessNeededForShutdown=true to allow stuff like mdmon to
be killed very late after the rootfs is read only? If implement pass
this to shutdown binary via command line argument.
2010-12-28 20:53:09 +03:00
* Integrate "mdadm --wait-clean". Maybe just let SIGTERM to mdmon trigger the
needed action
2010-09-28 23:49:26 +04:00
* dot output for --test showing the 'initial transaction'
2010-06-22 01:27:18 +04:00
* calendar time support in timer, iCalendar semantics for the timer stuff (RFC2445)
2010-11-25 18:01:22 +03:00
- check timerfd() patch: http://lkml.org/lkml/2010/11/23/290
* systemd --user
- get PR_SET_ANCHOR merged: http://lkml.org/lkml/2010/2/2/165
* add VT tracking:
2011-03-17 17:15:36 +03:00
- provide CK functionality
- start getty only when actual vt switch happens (same model as
socket on-demand activation). allocate the next free tty and
start a getty there. this way, pressing alt-f[1-12] will switch
through running X and getty sessions, and any unallocated
activated tty will start a new getty. the hardcoding of
getty[1-6] will entirely go away.
