ffd4e73935 pinctrl: Add Intel Keem Bay pinctrl driver
About Intel Keem Bay:
-------------------
Intel Keem Bay is a computer vision AI accelerator SoC based on ARM CPU.
Documentation of Keem Bay: Documentation/vpu/vpu-stack-overview.rst.

Pinctrl IP:
----------
The SoC has a customised pinmux controller IP which controls pin
multiplexing and configuration.

Keem Bay pinctrl IP is not based on and have nothing in common with the
existing pinctrl drivers. The registers used are incompatible with the
existing drivers, so it requires a new driver.

Add pinctrl driver to enable pin control support in the Intel Keem Bay SoC.

d1dee81416 pinctrl: sunxi: Don't underestimate number of functions
When we are building all the various pinctrl structures for the
Allwinner pinctrl devices, we do some estimation about the maximum
number of distinct function (names) that we will need.

So far we take the number of pins as an upper bound, even though we
can actually have up to four special functions per pin. This wasn't a
problem until now, since we indeed have typically far more pins than
functions, and most pins share common functions.

However the H616 "-r" pin controller has only two pins, but four
functions, so we run over the end of the array when we are looking for
a matching function name in sunxi_pinctrl_add_function - there is no
NULL sentinel left that would terminate the loop:

[ 8.200648] Unable to handle kernel paging request at virtual address fffdff7efbefaff5
[ 8.209179] Mem abort info:
....
[ 8.368456] Call trace:

[ 8.379557] platform_probe+0x68/0xd8

Do an actual worst case allocation (4 functions per pin, three common
functions and the sentinel) for the initial array allocation. This is
now heavily overestimating the number of functions in the common case,
but we will reallocate this array later with the actual number of
functions, so it's only temporarily.

1b73e588f4 pinctrl: stmfx: Fix hazardous u8[] to unsigned long cast
Casting a small array of u8 to an unsigned long is *never* OK:

- it does funny thing when the array size is less than that of a long,
as it accesses random places in the stack
- it makes everything even more fun with a BE kernel

Fix this by building the unsigned long used as a bitmap byte by byte,
in a way that works across endianess and has no undefined behaviours.

An extra BUILD_BUG_ON() catches the unlikely case where the array
would be larger than a single unsigned long.

91d1be9fb7 pinctrl: renesas: Fix pin control matching on R-Car H3e-2G
As R-Car H3 ES1.x (R8A77950) and R-Car ES2.0+ (R8A77951) use the same
compatible value, the pin control driver relies on soc_device_match()
with soc_id = "r8a7795" and the (non)matching of revision = "ES1.*" to
match with and distinguish between the two SoC variants. The
corresponding entries in the normal of_match_table are present only to
make the optional sanity checks work.

The R-Car H3e-2G (R8A779M1) SoC is a different grading of the R-Car H3
ES3.0 (R8A77951) SoC. It uses the same compatible values for individual
devices, but has an additional compatible value for the root node.
When running on an R-Car H3e-2G SoC, soc_device_match() with soc_id =
"r8a7795" does not return a match. Hence the pin control driver falls
back to the normal of_match_table, and, as the R8A77950 entry is listed
first, incorrectly uses the sub-driver for R-Car H3 ES1.x.

Fix this by moving the entry for R8A77951 before the entry for R8A77950.
Simplify sh_pfc_quirk_match() to only handle R-Car H3 ES1,x, as R-Car H3
ES2.0+ can now be matched using the normal of_match_table as well.

baf8d6899b pinctrl: armada-37xx: Correct PWM pins definitions
The PWM pins on North Bridge on Armada 37xx can be configured into PWM
or GPIO functions. When in PWM function, each pin can also be configured
to drive low on 0 and tri-state on 1 (LED mode).

The current definitions handle this by declaring two pin groups for each
pin:
- group "pwmN" with functions "pwm" and "gpio"
- group "ledN_od" ("od" for open drain) with functions "led" and "gpio"

This is semantically incorrect. The correct definition for each pin
should be one group with three functions: "pwm", "led" and "gpio".

Change the "pwmN" groups to support "led" function.

Remove "ledN_od" groups. This cannot break backwards compatibility with
older device trees: no device tree uses it since there is no PWM driver
for this SOC yet. Also "ledN_od" groups are not even documented.

Ralink architecture is making use of the header located in

897120d41e pinctrl: mcp23s08: fix race condition in irq handler
Checking value of MCP_INTF in mcp23s08_irq suggests that the handler may be
called even when there is no interrupt pending.

But the actual interrupt could happened between reading MCP_INTF and MCP_GPIO.
In this situation we got nothing from MCP_INTF, but the event gets acknowledged
on the expander by reading MCP_GPIO. This leads to losing events.

Fix the problem by not reading any register until we see something in MCP_INTF.

The error was reproduced and fix tested on MCP23017.

0ab1438bad linux/kconfig.h: replace IF_ENABLED() with PTR_IF() in <linux/kernel.h>
<linux/kconfig.h> is included from all the kernel-space source files,
including C, assembly, linker scripts. It is intended to contain a
minimal set of macros to evaluate CONFIG options.

IF_ENABLED() is an intruder here because (x ? y : z) is C code, which
should not be included from assembly files or linker scripts.

Also, <linux/kconfig.h> is no longer self-contained because NULL is
defined in <linux/stddef.h>.

Move IF_ENABLED() out to <linux/kernel.h> as PTR_IF(). PTF_IF()
takes the general boolean expression instead of a CONFIG option
so that it fits better in <linux/kernel.h>.

01d7136894 ARM: SoC changes for v5.13
Almost all SoC code changes this time are for the TI OMAP
platform, which continues its decade-long quest to move from

Aside from this, the Uniphier platform has a new maintainer
and some platforms have minor bugfixes and cleanups that were
 not urgent enough for v5.12.

482715ff06 pinctrl: core: Show pin numbers for the controllers with base = 0
The commit f1b206cf7c ("pinctrl: core: print gpio in pins debugfs file")
enabled GPIO pin number and label in debugfs for pin controller. However,
it limited that feature to the chips where base is positive number. This,
in particular, excluded chips where base is 0 for the historical or backward
compatibility reasons. Refactor the code to include the latter as well.

5e6332a7ff pinctrl: Ingenic: Improve LCD pins related code.
1.In the JZ4740 part, remove pointless "lcd-no-pins", use "lcd-special"
and "lcd-generic" instead "lcd-18bit-tft". Currently, in the mainline,
no other devicetree out there is using the "lcd-18bit-tft" ABI, so we
should be able to replace it safely.
2.In the JZ4725B part, adjust the location of the LCD pins related code
to keep them consistent with the style of other parts.
3.In the JZ4760 part, add the missing comma and adjust element order in
"jz4760_lcd_special_pins[]", keep them in the order of CLS/SPL/PS/REV
like other "lcd_special_pins" arrays. And adjust the location of the
"jz4760_lcd_generic" related code to keep them consistent with the
  style of other parts.
4.In the JZ4770 part, remove pointless "lcd-no-pins", add the missing
  "lcd-16bit", "lcd-18bit", "lcd-special", "lcd-generic".
5.In the X1000 part and the X1500 part, remove pointless "lcd-no-pins".
6.In the X1830 part, replace "lcd-rgb-18bit" with "lcd-tft-8bit" and
"lcd-tft-24bit", because of the description of the TRANS_CONFIG.MODE
register bits in the PM manual of the X1830, shows that the X1830 only
supppots 24bit mode and 8bit mode for tft interface, only 18 pins in
the GPIO table are because of the data[17:16], the data[9:8], and the
data[1:0] has not been connected. And according to the description,
the two interfaces supported by X1830 are respectively referred to as
"TFT interface" and "SLCD interface", so the "lcd-rgb-xxx" is replaced
  with "lcd-tft-xxx" to avoid confusion.

The slew rate was enabled by default for each configuration of the

overwriting the slew rate disablement.
Instead of enabling the slew rate by default for each pin configuration,
enable the slew rate by default just once per pin, regardless of the
number of configurations. This way the slew rate disablement will also
work for cases where pins have multiple configurations.

d28039fccf pinctrl: add a pincontrol driver for BCM6318
Add a pincontrol driver for BCM6318. BCM6318 allows muxing most GPIOs
to different functions. BCM6318 is similar to BCM6328 with the addition

39c1f1bd8a pinctrl: intel: check REVID register value for device presence
Use the value read from the REVID register in order to check for the
presence of the device. A read of all ones is treated as if the device

This fixes an issue when running as a Xen PVH dom0, where the ACPI
DSDT table is provided unmodified to dom0 and hence contains the
pinctrl devices, but the MMIO region(s) containing the device
registers might not be mapped in the guest physical memory map if such
region(s) are not exposed on a PCI device BAR or marked as reserved in

1d3928a3e6 pinctrl: renesas: Add support for R-Car SoCs with pull-down only pins
Currently, the common R-Car bias handling supports pin controllers with
either:
  1. Separate pin Pull-Enable (PUEN) and pin Pull-Up/Down control (PUD)
registers, for controlling both pin pull-up and pin pull-down,
  2. A single pin Pull-Up control register (PUPR), for controlling pin
     pull-up.

Add support for a variant of #2, where some bits in the single pin
Pull-Up control register (PUPR) control pin pull-down instead of pin
pull-up. This is the case for the "ASEBRK#/ACK" pin on R-Car M2-W,
M2-N, and E2, and the "ACK" pin on RZ/G1M, RZ/G1N, RZ/G1E, and RZ/G1C.
To describe such a register, SoC-specific drivers need to provide two
instances of pinmux_bias_reg: a first one with the puen field filled in,
listing pins with pull-up functionality, and a second one with the pud
field filled in, listing pins with pull-down functionality.

b991f8c362 pinctrl: core: Handling pinmux and pinconf separately
Right now the handling order depends on how entries are coming which is
corresponding with order in DT. We have reached the case with DT overlays
where conf and mux descriptions are exchanged which ends up in sequence
that firmware has been asked to perform configuration before requesting the
pin.

The patch is enforcing the order that pin is requested all the time first
followed by pin configuration. This change will ensure that firmware gets
requests in the right order.

2a9be38099 pinctrl: qcom: lpass lpi: use default pullup/strength values
If these fields are not set in dts, the driver will use these variables
uninitialized to set the fields. Not only will it set garbage values for
these fields, but it can overflow into other fields and break those.

In the current sm8250 dts, the dmic01 entries do not have a pullup setting,
and might not work without this change.

6199f6becc pinctrl: pinmux: Add pinmux-select debugfs file
Add "pinmux-select" to debugfs which will activate a pin function for a
given pin group:

  echo "<group-name function-name>" > pinmux-select

The write operation pinmux_select() handles this by checking that the
names map to valid selectors and then calling ops->set_mux().

The existing "pinmux-functions" debugfs file lists the pin functions
registered for the pin controller. For example:

  function: pinmux-uart0, groups = [ pinmux-uart0-pins ]
  function: pinmux-mmc0, groups = [ pinmux-mmc0-pins ]
  function: pinmux-mmc1, groups = [ pinmux-mmc1-pins ]
  function: pinmux-i2c0, groups = [ pinmux-i2c0-pins ]
  function: pinmux-i2c1, groups = [ pinmux-i2c1-pins ]
  function: pinmux-spi1, groups = [ pinmux-spi1-pins ]

To activate function pinmux-i2c1 on group pinmux-i2c1-pins:

  echo "pinmux-i2c1-pins pinmux-i2c1" > pinmux-select
