8858f8622e arm64: dts: exynos: Rename hsi2c nodes to i2c for Exynos5433 and Exynos7
In Device Tree specification it's recommended to use "i2c" name for I2C

warnings like this when validating HS-I2C nodes:

>From https://wiki.kobol.io/helios64/sata/#hdd-power:

In practice, this power staggering approach will be included in the
bootloader (not in the kernel), as we might want to boot from a SATA
drive.

>From my experiments, if the bootloader doesn't implement the power
staggering, only one HDD will get recognized (probably cause the others
didn't boot due to few power).

Still, it makes sense to expose this block in the device-tree, so the
kernel can ensure both rails are on (and this can be shared with
u-boot).

25501d8d3a arm64: dts: lx2160abluebox3: update RGMII delays for sja1105 switch
In the new behavior, the sja1105 driver expects there to be explicit
RGMII delays present on the fixed-link ports, otherwise it will complain
that it falls back to legacy behavior, which is to apply RGMII delays
incorrectly derived from the phy-mode string.

In this case, the legacy behavior of the driver is to apply both RX and
TX delays. To preserve that, add explicit 2 nanosecond delays, which are
identical with what the driver used to add (a 90 degree phase shift).
The delays from the phy-mode are ignored by new kernels (it's still
RGMII as long as it's "rgmii*" something), and the explicit
{rx,tx}-internal-delay-ps properties are ignored by old kernels, so the
change works both ways.

96e1e3a152 arm64: dts: qcom: sc7180: Fix ps8640 power sequence for Homestar rev4
When powering up the ps8640, we need to deassert PD right
after we turn on the vdd33 regulator. Unfortunately, the vdd33

for the vdd33 regulator so that when the driver deasserts PD
that the regulator has had time to ramp.

Konrad Dybcio
c2721b0c23 arm64: dts: qcom: Add support for Xperia 1 III / 5 III
Add support for SONY Xperia 1 III (PDX215) and 5 III (PDX214) smartphones.
Both are based on the SM8350 Sagami platform and feature some really high-end
specs, such as:

- 4K (1 III / PRO-I) / 1080p (5 III), 120Hz HDR OLED 10-bit panels
- USB-C 3.1 with HDMI in (yes, phone as display!) and DP out
- 5G
- 8 or 12 gigs of ram, 128/256/512 gigs of storage
- A 3.5mm headphone jack, a RGB notification LED and a uSD card slot :)
- IP65/68 dust/water resistance
- Dual front-firing speakers and a lot of microphones
- Crazy complex camera hardware (especially on the PRO-I), which includes
4 cameras, an RGBIR sensor and a 3D iToF

The aforementioned PRO-I (PDX217) is not supported in this patch, because
even though it shares most of the code with 1 III, nobody really has it (yet?)

This only adds basic support for booting to a USB shell with a
bootloader-enabled display, support for all the awesome hardware listed above
will (hopefully) come (hopefully) soon.

In order to get a working boot image, you need to run (e.g. for 1 III):

cat arch/arm64/boot/Image.gz arch/arm64/boot/dts/qcom/sm8350-sony-xperia-\
sagami-pdx215.dtb > .Image.gz-dtb

mkbootimg \
--kernel .Image.gz-dtb \
--ramdisk some_initrd.img \
--pagesize 4096 \
--base 0x0 \
--kernel_offset 0x8000 \
--ramdisk_offset 0x1000000 \
--tags_offset 0x100 \
--cmdline "SOME_CMDLINE" \
--dtb_offset 0x1f00000 \
--header_version 1 \
--os_version 11 \
--os_patch_level 2021-10 \ # or newer
-o boot.img-sony-xperia-pdx215

Then, you need to flash it on the device and get rid of all the
vendor_boot/dtbo mess:

fastboot flash boot boot.img-sony-xperia-pdx215
fastboot erase vendor_boot
fastboot flash dtbo emptydtbo.img
fastboot reboot

Where emptydtbo.img is a tiny file that consists of 2 bytes (all zeroes), doing
a "fastboot erase" won't cut it, the bootloader will go crazy and things will
fall apart when it tries to overlay random bytes from an empty partition onto a
perfectly good appended DTB.

Add support for SONY Xperia XZ2, XZ2 Compact and XZ3 smartphones, all based on
the Qualcomm SDM845 chipset. There also exists a fourth Tama device, the XZ2
Premium (Aurora) with a 4K display, but it's relatively rare.

The devices are affected by a scary UFS behaviour where sending a certain UFS
command (which is worked around on downstream) renders the device unbootable,
by effectively erasing the bootloader. Therefore UFS AND UFSPHY are strictly
disabled for now.

Downstream workaround:
2e7a9ee1c9

This platform's bootloader is not very nice either. To boot mainline you need
to flash a bogus DTBO (fastboot erasing may cut it, but it takes an inhumane
amount of time) - one that's just 4 bytes (all zeroes) seems to work just fine.

Of course, one can also provide a "normal" DTBO (device-specific DT overlayed
on top of the SoC DT), but that's not yet supported by the mainline kernel
build system.

mipi_dsi_device. So we need to always specify "data-lanes" for the
DSI host output. As of now, "data-lanes" is added to ti-sn65dsi86 dts
fragment, but missing in parade-ps8640 dts fragment, which requires
a fixup.

Since we'll do 4-lane DSI regardless of which bridge chip is used,
instead of adding "data-lanes" to parade-ps8640 dts fragment, let's
just move "data-lanes" from the bridge dts to sc7180-trogdor.dtsi.

ae45d84fc3 ARM: SoC DT updates for v5.16
This is a rather large update for the ARM devicetree files, after a few
quieter releases, with 775 total commits and 47 branches pulled into
this one. There are 5 new SoC types plus some minor variations, and
a total of 60 new machines, so I'm limiting the summary to the main
 noteworthy items:

  - Apple M1 gain support for PCI and pinctrl, getting a bit
closer to a usable system out of the box.

  - Qualcomm gains support for Snapdragon 690 (aka SM6350) as
well as SM7225, 11 new smartphones, and three additional
Chromebooks, and improvements all over the place.

  - Samsung gains support for ExynosAutov9, an automotive version
of their smartphone SoC, but otherwise no major changes.

  - Microchip adds the SAMA5D29 SoC in the SAMA5 family, and a
number of improvements for the recently added SAMA7 family.

  - One new board is added to the Intel Arria SoC FPGA family

  - Marvell adds one network switch based on Armada 381 and the
    new MOCHAbin 7040 development board

  - NXP adds support for the S32G2 automotive SoC, two imx6 based
ebook readers, and three additional development boards, which
is notably less than their usual additions, but they also gain
improvements to their many existing boards

  - STmicroelectronics adds their stm32mp13 SoC family along with
    a reference board

  - Renesas adds new versions of their R-Car Gen3 SoCs and many

e1bebf9781 arm64: dts: apple: j274: Expose PCI node for the Ethernet MAC address
At the moment, all the Minis running Linux have the same MAC
address (00:10:18:00:00:00), which is a bit annoying.

Expose the PCI node corresponding to the Ethernet device, and
declare a 'local-mac-address' property. The bootloader will update
it (m1n1 already has the required feature). And if it doesn't, then
the default value is already present in the DT.

This relies on forcing the bus number for each port so that the
endpoints connected to them are correctly numbered (and keeps dtc
quiet).

d584cdc9e8 Qualcomm ARM64 DTS additional patches for v5.16
The RPM and RPMh sleep stats are introduced on a number of platforms, to
aid the enablement of entering low power mode.

The MSM8916 support receives some polishing touches, followed by
introduction of the necessary pieces to use the DeviceTree on 32-bit
variants of the MSM8916 platform, in particular to boot the secondary
CPUs. Based on this support for the Samsung Galaxy S4 Mini Value Edition
 is introduced.

The Asus Zenfone 2 Laser gained touchscreen, sensors and sdcard support.

MSM8996 got support for the its crypto hardware and the Xiaomi Mi 5
gained a description of its LCD panel.

The Trogdor device on SC7180 gained support for a second source eDP
brigde, while SC7280 gains PCIe support and the newly introduced
 Herobrine device.

Both MSM8916 and SDM845 has their standalong SMEM node dropped, in favour
of the newly introduced support for specifying the compatible directly
 on the reserved-memory node.

The SM7225 platform is introduced, as a derrivative of SM6350, initial
support for the PM6350 PMIC and based on this the Fairphone 4 is
 introduced.

The RB3 and RB5 devices gains msm-id and board-id, to allow the two DTBs
to be baked into a single boot.img that can be booted on both devices.

As the GDSC driver has been extended to properly describe the
relationship between MMCX and MDSS_GDSC, the now deprecated mmcx
 regulator is removed from SM8250.

SM8350 gained CPU topology, idle-states and fastrpc support. FastRPC was
also added for SM8150 and the SA8155p ADP got a couple of remoteprocs
 enabled.

Additionally a number of DT validation issues was corrected across the
 various platforms and devices.

Qualcomm ARM64 DTS additional patches for v5.16

442ee1fc60 arm64: dts: qcom: Drop unneeded extra device-specific includes
For some reason apq8016-sbc, apq8096-db820c, msm8916-mtp and msm8996-mtp
were added as separate .dts and .dtsi files where the first only contains
the model name and the latter contains most of the actual definitions.
Perhaps this was done with the expectation that there would be other
devices also making use of exactly the same. However, this has not
been the case until now and it also seems unlikely in the future.
Having the extra .dtsi only clutters the file list and provides
little benefit.

Move the contents of the .dtsi into the .dts file to make this consistent
with most other devices that simply define everything in the .dts.

There are no functional changes introduced by this patch:
The compiled ".dtb"s are completely identical.

SMEM can now be described directly in the reserved-memory.
This is mainly meant for newer SoCs where there is only one SMEM
region. However, even on older SoCs like MSM8916 there is clearly one
main SMEM region (described by "memory-region") that holds the
smem_header and one special extra region used only for data of the
RPM ("qcom,rpm-msg-ram").

The definition in reserved-memory also looks cleaner for older SoCs,
so make use of that in MSM8916 as well.

The RTC on the pmk8350 is not useful on all boards. Some boards may
not provide backup power to the PMIC but might have another RTC on the
board that does have backup power. In this case it's better to not use
the RTC on the PMIC.

At the moment, the only boards that includes this PMIC are sc7280-idp
and sc7280-idp2. On sc7280-idp I'm not aware of any other RTCs, but
sc7280-idp2 has a Chrome OS EC on it and this is intended to provide
the RTC for the AP.

Let's do what we normally do for hardware that's not used by all
boards and set it to a default status of "disabled" and then enable it
on the boards that need it.

NOTE: for sc7280-idp it's _possible_ we might also want to add
`allow-set-time;`. That could be the subject of a future patch if it
is indeed true.

dea1a7880f arm64: dts: qcom: sdm845: Move gpio.h inclusion to SoC DTSI
Almost any board that boots and has a way to interact with it
(say for the rare cases of just-pstore or let's-rely-on-bootloader-setup)
needs to set some GPIOs, so it makes no sense to include gpio.h separately
each time. Hence move it to SoC DTSI.

a22f9a766e arm64: dts: qcom: msm8916: Add CPU ACC and SAW/SPM
Add the device tree nodes necessary for SMP bring-up and cpuidle
without PSCI on ARM32. The hardware is typically controlled by the
PSCI implementation in the TrustZone firmware and is therefore marked
as status = "reserved" by default (from the device tree specification):

"Indicates that the device is operational, but should not be used.
Typically this is used for devices that are controlled by another
software component, such as platform firmware."

Since this is part of the MSM8916 SoC it should be added to msm8916.dtsi
but in practice these nodes should only get enabled via an extra include
on ARM32.

This is necessary for some devices with signed firmware which is missing
both ARM64 and PSCI support and can therefore only boot ARM32 kernels.

The LTE version of the S4 Mini VE has a NXP PN547, which is supported

using "nfctool" just fine, although more testing is difficult given
there seem to be very few useful applications making use of the

0e0253ccaf arm64: dts: qcom: Add device tree for Samsung Galaxy S4 Mini Value Edition
The Samsung Galaxy S4 Mini Value Edition is an updated version of the
original S4 Mini based on MSM8916. It is similar to the other Samsung
devices based on MSM8916 with only a few minor differences.

The device tree contains initial support for the S4 Mini Value Edition with:
  - UART
  - eMMC/SD card (needs quirk for some reason)
  - Buttons
  - Vibrator
  - WiFi/Bluetooth (WCNSS)
  - USB

Unfortunately, the S4 Mini VE was released with outdated 32-bit only
firmware and never received any update from Samsung. Since the 32-bit
TrustZone firmware is signed there seems to be no way currently to
actually boot this device tree on arm64 Linux at the moment. :(

However, it is possible to use this device tree by compiling an ARM32 kernel
instead. The device tree can be easily built on ARM32 with an #include
and it works really well there. To avoid confusion for others it is still
better to add this device tree on arm64. Otherwise it's easy to forget
to update this one when making some changes that affect all MSM8916 devices.

Maybe someone finds a way to boot ARM64 Linux on this device at some point.
In this case I expect that this device tree can be simply used as-is.
